WRAP's (Waste & Resources Action Programme) Know Your Compost and Recycle Now Home Composting Campaigns are happy to announce regional activity for Compost Awareness Week 2008.
The Know Your Compost Campaign is working in partnership with a number of retailers to host ‘Compost Kiosks’ at selected stores around the country, before and during Compost Awareness Week in May.
At the ‘Compost Kiosk’ you will be able to find out everything you ever wanted to know about using peat-free compost containing recycled materials, and home composting. Leaflets will be available, giving great advice on how to be greener in the garden, getting the best from your compost and plants, and successful home composting. You can also pick up a free compost takeaway*- which includes a sample of peat-free compost, and a bulb to takeaway and grow at home.
Recycle Now Home Composting advisers will be attending various events over Compost Awareness Week, teaming up with local authorities or retailers within your area. Find out about the benefits of home composting as well as how to make and use your own compost. Leaflets with top tips and advice as well as special offers on home compost bins will also be available.
To find an event in your area log onto the event locator and add in your postcode.
